Professional services
ITC supports governments and businesses to enhance professional services development and facilitate trade in these services.
Professionals such as architects, accountants, engineers, lawyers are key to economic development as they provide services vital to companies and societies, and generate well-paid jobs.
For some countries, professional services are key to high value-added services exports, ranging from large multinational corporations, such as legal and accounting firms, to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) such as engineers and veterinarians.
We work with stakeholders to:
-
develop conducive policy environment for professional services, including through improved domestic regulation and good regulatory practices.
-
promote trade in professional services through trade agreements, such as Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) and trade liberalizations.
-
develop tailor-made trainings for enhancing MSME capacities in specific sectors, through collaboration with professional and vocational training institutions.
-
connect professional services suppliers to the global market through business linkages and international marketing events.
