ITC promotes the transitioning of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to the green economy through the GreenToCompete Hubs.
The Green Hubs provide integrated solutions and tools for SMEs in the implementation of green business practices. Hosted by local Business Support Institutions (BSOs) the Green Hubs act as one-stop shops for SMEs to build green business strategies to access green finance and international markets for sustainable products.
The Green Hubs offer solutions and tools for MSMEs to build their skills and increase their knowledge to implement sustainable business practices through face-to-face coaching programmes focusing on the key aspects of sustainability.
The Green Hubs are implemented in Ghana, Kenya, Laos, Nepal, Peru and Viet Nam with a regional Green Hub in the Caribbean. The expected results will be that as of the end of 2022, more than 4500 SMEs will better understand the benefits of sustainable business practices and more than 1000 SMEs will obtain the capacity to implement climate resilience, resource efficient and inclusive business strategies.
