Jordan: Company Perspectives - An ITC Series on Non-Tariff Measures (Arabic)

More than two-thirds of Jordanian companies face difficulties with non-tariff measures when exporting or importing.

Inconsistent application of regulations creates major obstacles for Jordanian exporters. The problems caused by conformity assessment requirements and procedures are a key source of concern. This report recommends strengthening officials’ capacity, increasing assistance to the private sector and deepening the dialogue with Saudi Arabia to facilitate transit and direct trade.
