Talking business, doing business: WEDF 2015 wrap-up
Small and medium-sized enterprises can heat up their business opportunities in global markets by working in tourism and halal products.
Speakers on the second day (21 October) of the 2015 World Export Development Forum in Doha focused on ways to help these businesses overcome obstacles to trade.
ITC launched a new publication on making regional integration work in Arab states, as well as a guide on the fast-growing trillion-dollar global halal market and an online tool to help exporters meet halal standards.
Businesses working in foods, plastics and packaging, tourism and other sectors signed more than 90 deals worth over $80 million in one-on-one meetings during the conference.
The International Trade Centre and the Qatar Development Bank co-organized the event. Find more information on the World Export Development Forum webpage.
