Story: Africa’s young people get boost from new partnership
After months of successful and continuous collaboration, the Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA) and ITC's Youth & Trade programme have joined forces to get more young people involved in reaching the Sustainable Development Goals.
The partnership will develop resources, toolkits and events to serve young people in Africa. The two organizations have worked on several initiatives together, including the Youth Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment (YES) Forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2019.
YALDA's network of young change-makers and ITC's Youth & Trade Programme's entrepreneurship community will support young people with solutions − and help amplify their voice during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Young people, in business or education, are particularly exposed to the economic and social consequences of the coronavirus outbreak in Africa.
