IMPLEMENTING QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Checklist of questions covering various aspects of setting-up, implementation and certification of a quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008, aimed at small- and medium-sized enterprises; helps to determine the status of an enterprise's quality system vis-à-vis the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard; allows to identify areas for improvement for implementing an ISO 9001 quality management system, or certification to the Standard; includes a bibliography of information sources relevant to the implementation of ISO 9001:2008. (Updates the ITC tool "ISO 9001 Fitness Checker", published in 2002.)

MOROCCO: COMPANY PERSPECTIVES — ITC SERIES ON NON-TARIFF MEASURES
This report outlines trade barriers faced by firms in Morocco, based on an ITC study. Companies are particularly concerned about partners' technical regulations, especially sanitary and phytosanitary regulations, including the lack of infrastructure and cumbersome procedures, as well as national inspection requirements. The study serves as a basis to help develop public policy to address the issues raised by these firms.

Part three of a series of four papers, each comprising a review of the main information resources regarding a specific aspect of the impact of private standards; focuses on the literature related to harmonization of, and interdependencies between, public and private standards, and the ways in which governments could engage with private standards to impact their legitimacy and significance in the market; provides examples of complementarities between public and private standards, and the harmonization efforts made in this area.
