First Iraq National Trade Forum to be held in Baghdad
Seeking to connect small businesses to growth opportunities, the first Iraq National Trade Forum (INTF) will be held in Baghdad from 28 to 30 November 2022.
The three-day Forum aims at connecting Iraqi small businesses in farming, food processing, packaging and logistics to international suppliers and investors.
The International Trade Centre (ITC) through the European Union funded Strengthening the Agriculture and Agri-food Value Chain and Improving Trade Policy (SAAVI) project, is jointly organizing the Forum with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The INTF is organized under the sponsorship of the European Union and German cooperation.
Iraqi small and medium businesses will have access to opportunities for forging business deals and fostering investment opportunities during the business forum. One-on-one B2B meetings between international suppliers and Iraqi businesses will be held during the event. The INTF will feature an exhibition of innovative firms under the theme “Made in Iraq”, with representation from all Iraqi governorates.
The Forum will bring together leading Iraqi companies from all governorates, international suppliers, representatives from relevant ministries and agencies and development partners.
High level plenary sessions and practical workshops will provide a platform to Iraqi entrepreneurs for increasing their knowledge and raising awareness about the opportunities and requirements for becoming more competitive.
