Albanian small businesses are set to captivate an international audience at the Food Ingredients North America event on 30-31 October 2024.

The event in Las Vegas represents a significant opportunity for Albanian agribusinesses to present their unique blend of tradition, quality, and sustainability to over 18,500 industry professionals.

At Booth 1231, the Albanian Pavilion will highlight the country’s top producers of olive oil, medicinal plants, and aromatic herbs, showcasing their commitment to quality and sustainable practices.

This initiative is part of the Trade Promotion East: Balkan States and Central Asia project, led by the International Trade Centre (ITC) with support from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, aimed at boosting exports and fostering regional economic development.

The olive oil industry, rooted in Albania’s Mediterranean climate, features exhibitors like Shkalla Sh Olive Oil, known for its award-winning, organic-certified extra virgin olive oil. Albania’s renowned medicinal and aromatic plants are complemented by companies like Biobes Ltd., Bidaj Ltd. and Ekoprod Ltd., offering herbs highly valued in international markets for their purity and therapeutic properties.

This event also serves as a platform for innovation, drawing professionals from all food and health sectors. For Albanian companies, it’s a chance to network, explore new technologies, and gain insights into the latest market trends, including the demand for organic and plant-based products. Through ITC support, these small businesses will access seminars and talks on sustainability and digital transformation.

Their participation at the food show gives a launchpad for Albanian small businesses to become competitive global players. This initiative not only boosts Albania’s export potential but also contributes to local economic development and job creation, particularly for medicinal and aromatic plants.

Albania’s presence at this event exemplifies its commitment to sustainable agriculture and offers a glimpse into its promising future in the global agribusiness sector.
