International Trade Centre – Implementing AgencyITC is the joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. ITC assists micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in developing and transition economies to become more competitive in global markets, thereby contributing to sustainable economic development within the frameworks of the Aid-for-Trade agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) – Project Funder The project is funded by the Government of the United Kingdom. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is a ministerial department, supported by a diverse range of agencies and public bodies. FCDO brings together the best of Britain’s international effort and demonstrates the UK acting as a force for good in the world, reducing poverty and tackling global challenges with international partners.
Ministry of Commerce – National Focal PointThe Ministry of Commerce is responsible for the formulation and implementation of trade policies. Its key areas of work include trade policy development, improvement of trade environment, export promotion, regional and international trade cooperation as well as monitoring of domestic market.
DICA – Project PartnerThe Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) is in charge of handling company registrations for local and foreign businesses under the Myanmar Companies Law. DICA is mandated to promote private sector development and to boost domestic and foreign investment by creating a conducive investment climate.
UMFCCI – Project PartnerThe Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) is a national level non-governmental organization representing and safeguarding the interests of the private business sector. It supports the business communities by providing a range of services through sharing knowledge, expertise and opportunities.
