The project is implemented under three components
I. Strengthening the capacity within the Craft and Decorative Arts sub-sectors to respond to international market demand
The objective of this component is to improve the capacity of Micro-, Small-, and Medium-entrepreneurs and support institutions to be market competitive through improved product design and development. This component targets MSMEs in the craft, textiles, and light household furnishing sub-sectors.
II. Support for branding and marketing of the visual arts
This component provides technical assistance to Caribbean Export’s efforts to brand and market the region’s creative industries. Two key activities are supported under this component: support for the launch of
Design Caribbean trade fair and development of an Export Marketing strategy and Action Plan for the development and promotion of the fair beyond 2011.
III. Support for improved Data Collection, Analysis, and Dissemination
This component seeks to contribute to the quality and reliability of data and information flows on the CI sector. The key activities supported under this component include a national study on the contribution of the Creative Industries sector to the economy and training for statistical officers on data collection techniques.
