    Senegal market expert for research on palm oil, cassava and derivates

    The International Trade Centre (ITC), in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Organisation (UNIDO), is implementing a technical assistance project in Sierra Leone under the West African Competitiveness Programme (WACOMP). The project aims at increasing Sierra Leone’s competitiveness through enhanced productivity and trade compliance in the cocoa, cassava and oil palm value chains with a view to boosting the country’s integration into regional and global value chain.

    GreenToCompete Communication Strategy Consultant

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) is looking for an international consultant to support the review and further development of ITC’s GreenToCompete strategy, hosted in the Sustainable and Inclusive Value Chains (SIVC) section, under the Division of Enterprises and Institutions (DEI).
    The candidate needs possess at least 5 years of professional experience in communications with a preferable focus on strategy and messaging. Experience in the areas of environmental sustainability, climate resilience, transition to a green economy or access to green finance would be an asset. Please see the Terms of Reference.

    National consultant- Private Sector & Refugee Digital Livelihoods Study - Kenya

    Under the framework of the Refugee Employment and Skills Initiative project in Kenya, and in collaboration with the Amahoro Coalition, we are looking for a national consultant to build upon existing work to develop an actionable roadmap for private sector actors in Kenya to support refugee economic inclusion specifically through digital services or other technology-enabled opportunities. The research should also ideally identify linkages or opportunities to engage private sector actors within the East Africa region. Please see the Term of Reference.

    Evaluation Consultant

    The ITC Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU) is looking for a home-based consultant to coordinate and carry out reviews for two projects, assessing the sustainability of results 3-4 years after the projects’ completion. The Terms of Reference can be found here. Candidates should have at least seven years’ experience in conducting evaluations, reviews or similar assessments, and hold an advanced university degree in a related field. In particular, specific experience in ex-post assessments, data visualization and project management is highly desirable.     National Consultant for South Sudan NEIS

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) is recruiting a National consultant to help the team working on the South Sudan National Export and Investment Strategy (NEIS) and related analysis. The consultant will assist in the review of national programmes, plans, and policies, data collection from various stakeholders, as well as with the production of the NEIS. The TOR provides a more detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities.     AfCFTA Consultant for South Sudan NEIS

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) is recruiting a Regional consultant to help the team working on the south Sudan National Export and Investment Strategy (NEIS) and related analysis. The consultant will assist with the situational analysis of South Sudan’s integration in and implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The consultant will help in the identification and prioritization of trade expansion, diversification or value-addition opportunities offered by the AfCFTA as well as with the production of the NEIS. The TOR provides a more detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities.     Web designer for e-commerce online community

    ITC would like to hire a web designer to work on ITC ecomConnect online community (https://ecomconnect.org/). The platform has been built with the software Hivebrite, tailored for building online community platforms. The platform comes with its own design with some options of customization (name/logo/favicon, colour code, font, custom images for different pages (groups, events, landing, etc.). The platform includes a public landing page and a series of private tabs.
    The overall purpose of this assignment is to create and implement a visual identity for the ecomConnect community that will unlock the potential functionalities of the current software and display the content in a more organized, attractive and user-friendly manner.     National Project Coordinator (Philippines)

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) (www.intracen.org) is looking for a National Project Coordinator in the Philippines to support the implementation of the Arise Plus Philippines project. The candidate should hold an advanced university degree in international trade, business administration, development studies or related field, with at least 5 years’ experience in the field of technical assistance including some experience in project management, administration or related field. Knowledge of the UN system and procedures, experience of EU-related projects or trade-related projects in the Philippines would be an asset.     UKTP CAMEROON – EXPORT COACH FOR COCOA

    ITC is looking for an International Consultant under the United Kingdom's Programme for Trade Partnerships (UKTP Cameroon), within the Sector Competitiveness Section of the Division of Enterprises and Institutions, to work as Export Coach for the Penja Pepper sector.     Senegal market and distribution channel research

    SheTrades AfCFTA- E-commerce expert

    ITC is looking for a consultant to produce research and discuss, with women's business associations, opportunities for women in e-commerce under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).     Export Coach UKTP Cameroon
    ITC is looking for an International Consultant under the United Kingdom's Programme for Trade Partnerships (UKTP Cameroon), within the Sector Competitiveness Section of the Division of Enterprises and Institutions, to work as Export Coach for the Penja Pepper sector.     “The International Trade Centre (ITC) is recruiting a consultant (statistician) to contribute to the team working on Export Potential Map and related analysis. The consultant will assist with the processing and the analysis data to feed into the calculation of export potential and other trade-related indicators as well as with the production of reports.     International Consultant on Analyses of brand/retailer strategies for LDC graduation
    The UN is developing a study on the “Impact of LDC graduation on the textile and clothing sector: national, regional and international implications”. The study will assess the possible impact of the loss of LDC-specific market access in the textile and clothing sector and how to account for this loss in the smooth transition strategies and overall development planning of these five Asian countries in particular—Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Nepal.
    This consultancy would undertake market research with regard to present export markets of the five graduating LDCs, their sources of intermediate inputs (yarns and fabrics) as well as research with regard of foreign investors operating in the country and their views and strategies with regard to the expected impact of the graduation with regard to market access. The research should identify strategies and future considerations of major brands and retailers that presently source from these markets, fabric mills and investors that operate or sell to the 5 LDCs.
    The work is being complemented by work undertaken by National Consultants in each of the five LDCs, who will undertake research at company level in the countries concerned.
    The research would contribute in particular to Chapter V of the above study, led by ITC, UNCTAD and DESA, on the country-level industry perspective. This Chapter has the main objective to gain a better understanding of the views and strategies of producers and exporters in the T&C sector in the four countries under review as well as producers and importers from the main intermediary, final and competing markets
    The TORs attached provide a more detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities expected of the National project coordinator. The applicants must have an Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) Economics, business administration, international relations or related field.
    At least 10 years of experience in the international textiles and clothing sector. Experience in undertaking brand/retailer-related research to understand business rationales and motivations. Experience in presenting complex topics to a multi-stakeholder audience in various countries. Fluency in English is required. The recruitment will initially be for 3-6 months on a probation period.
