    Radio programme producer for a series on the promotion of coffee farming in Nepal

    The Nepal TIP project which is working on the improvement of coffee value chains in Nepal will in support of and promotion of project activities, produce a number of radio programmes to be disseminated with the help of local FM radio partners, in current and potential coffee growing areas. The programmes will focus from the farm to pulping centre level and will cover topics relevant to coffee production and processing at the pre- and post-harvest stage aiming at productivity improvements and quality enhancements including organic principles. It may also inspire new farmers to take up coffee farming by sharing relatable success stories of farmers who have been successful in the business. The project seeks a consultant to plan, create content, implement and evaluate the radio programming. The consultant will collaborate with the TIP National Coordinators, the TIP Communications Lead and Technical Advisors and importantly, the Nepal coffee industry stakeholders such as the Nepal Tea and Coffee Development Board and the Nepal Coffee Producers Association. The consultant should be based in Nepal and have experience in programming production or communications designer and should also have an agricultural background or experience in agriculture preferably coffee.     Consultancy: Central coffee collecting and processing centres infrastructure support analysis

    The EU-Nepal Trade-Related Assistance TIP project is seeking a National Consultant based in Nepal to conduct Central coffee collecting and processing centres infrastructure support analysis. The objective is to consult with Nepalese coffee industry stakeholders including the National Tea and Coffee Development board and the Nepal Coffee Producers Association, to provide recommendations and guidance on the supply, construction, installation, location, ownership and management and subsequent operational training, of coffee pulping or processing centres under the project. The candidate should have a minimum 7 years of experience in the Nepali coffee industry, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Nepali coffee industry; a minimum Masters level studies in business, economics, finance or agri-business management related areas; Experience working within, managing or owning a coffee enterprise including a coffee pulping station in Nepal will be highly advantageous; undergone training in coffee quality - a QArabica grading certificate will be highly advantageous.     International Consultant GTEX-MENATEX – Tunisia

    Le programme Global Textiles and Clothing (GTEX-MENATEX) en Tunisie cherche un consultant avec diplôme universitaire en ingénieur en textile avec une expérience d’au moins de 10 ans dans le domaine des prestations dans le domaine de teinture et finissage.

    Website Development: Liberia Destination Marketing

    ITC is implementing a tourism development project in the Republic of Liberia, funded by the Enhanced Integrated Framework Programme. The project has an overall objective of improving economic growth, in the form of higher revenue, and job contributions of the tourism sector. As part of deliverables, the project supports the development of an official destination marketing website for Liberia aimed at positioning the country as a recognised and desirable tourism destination. ITC is looking for the services of a consultant/consortium of consultants to design and develop a professional website and content management system for the promotion of Liberia as a tourism destination.     GreenToCompete Policy Expert - Trade and Environment Consultant

    The Sustainable and Inclusive Value Chains (SIVC) Section at the International Trade Centre (ITC) is looking for a national consultant to support the development of a policy study about trade, development and environmental sustainability in Kenya.
    A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in international trade and development, or policy advice and research is required. The applicant must hold an advanced degree in international trade, international development, economics, or another relevant field of study.     International Project Support Consultant UKTP

    ITC is looking for an International Project Support Consultant to provide support in the implementation of the United Kingdom Trade Partnership project in Côte d’Ivoire.     International consultant- AfCFTA Expert

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) new flagship programme to support the operationalization of the African Continental Free Trade Are (AfCFTA). Based on requests received from Member states, the African Union Commission (AUC) and the AfCFTA Secretariat, ITC has designed the One Trade Africa programme. One Trade Africa (OTA) follows a programmatic approach by delivering a set of coordinated trade-related interventions to support the operationalization of the new single market and will be at the heart of ITC’s work in Africa. The programme aims to prioritize and enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs, women and youth entrepreneurs at the national level as well as improve the (sub) regional business ecosystem for more intra-African transactions. One Trade Africa will also develop African global public goods to foster the participation of the African business community in the new single market.
    ITC’s Office for Africa is seeking technical experts in relation with the AfCFTA with the following profiles: Trade in goods (including Rules of origin), Services export development, Gender, Investment, Digitalization, Value chain development (in relation with enterprise competitiveness), Trade facilitation (particularly informal cross-border trade), Green technology, Access to finance for MSMEs. The Terms of Reference can be found here.

    The Youth & Trade Team is seeking a (youth) entrepreneurship expert to provide support in the implementation of project activities in South Sudan under the Jobs Creation and Trade Development Project (JCTDP) project.     Financial Expert- ACP Project

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) Alliances for Action, is implementing the micro-level component of the project “ACP Business-friendly: Supporting value chains through inclusive policies, investment promotion and alliances”, which aims to complement the European Union support for private sector development in ACP countries, under the context of the joint ACP-EU Programme for ACP Private Sector Development Support. The ITC Alliances for Action team is seeking a consultant to work in partnership with national institutions and teams to develop a situational analysis of the financial challenges or gaps faced by farmers, MSMEs and agri-preneurs in the coffee/cocoa value chains in target countries (Ghana, Liberia and Cameroon).     International Consultant on Analyses of brand/retailer strategies for LDC graduation
    The UN is developing a study on the “Impact of LDC graduation on the textile and clothing sector: national, regional and international implications”. The study will assess the possible impact of the loss of LDC-specific market access in the textile and clothing sector and how to account for this loss in the smooth transition strategies and overall development planning of these five Asian countries in particular—Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Nepal.
    This consultancy would undertake market research with regard to present export markets of the five graduating LDCs, their sources of intermediate inputs (yarns and fabrics) as well as research with regard of foreign investors operating in the country and their views and strategies with regard to the expected impact of the graduation with regard to market access. The research should identify strategies and future considerations of major brands and retailers that presently source from these markets, fabric mills and investors that operate or sell to the 5 LDCs.
    The work is being complemented by work undertaken by National Consultants in each of the five LDCs, who will undertake research at company level in the countries concerned.
    The research would contribute in particular to Chapter V of the above study, led by ITC, UNCTAD and DESA, on the country-level industry perspective. This Chapter has the main objective to gain a better understanding of the views and strategies of producers and exporters in the T&C sector in the four countries under review as well as producers and importers from the main intermediary, final and competing markets
    The TORs attached provide a more detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities expected of the National project coordinator. The applicants must have an Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) Economics, business administration, international relations or related field.
    At least 10 years of experience in the international textiles and clothing sector. Experience in undertaking brand/retailer-related research to understand business rationales and motivations. Experience in presenting complex topics to a multi-stakeholder audience in various countries. Fluency in English is required. The recruitment will initially be for 3-6 months on a probation period.
