Promoting SME Competitiveness in Saint Lucia (en)
Small businesses in Saint Lucia are contributing to the country’s export growth. The findings of a new ITC Competitiveness Survey jointly conducted with the country’s Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) provides guidance on how to exploit opportunities in four key sectors: food and beverages, tourism, manufacturing and creative industries.
Saint Lucian SMEs generally benefit from strong electricity, water and ICT infrastructure, and quality support from trade and investment institutions. Better access to finance and transport infrastructure in manufacturing, increased international certification of food and beverages produce and diversification in tourism are some areas for further growth as support.
