ITC News

As the Rugby World Cup kicks off in France, the business community in Fiji is preparing to showcase its amazing products to the world.

With the support of the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the United Kingdom Trade Partnerships Programme (UKTP), four companies are traveling from Fiji to France to bring a taste of the Pacific to Europe:

  • Essence Fiji (beauty care)
  • Naturally Fiji/Punjas (beauty care and biscuits)
  • Down-to-Earth (hot sauces)
  • Daily Good (healthy ginger shots)

They’ll get to meet their national rugby players in Bordeaux, and also interact with a range of leading UK companies working in health care, hospitality and food distribution.

The entrepreneurs from Fiji have the chance to network with UK business leaders and to foster potential partnerships that could further boost bilateral trade and Fiji’s economic development.

The event is expected to draw high-level support from both the Fiji and British governments, with the President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, opening the event.

The Rugby World Cup is a unique opportunity for Fiji businesses to attract international recognition and to expand their global reach.

This event shows that Fiji’s participation is not limited to the rugby field—it extends to the promotion of the culture, cuisine and commerce of Fiji.

Trade promotion and rugby – a match made in heaven.

The UKTP Programme works in partnership with government agencies, private sector organisations, public sector institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises and other local stakeholders.
