ITC has mainstreamed results-based project management into its delivery of trade-related technical assistance (TRTA). This database of development results site provides data on ITC's outputs and outcomes within a logical framework grouped both by beneficiaries and intervention type. Indicators are used to measure results against annual targets at both the corporate and project level.
ITC’s projects are implemented with a continuous process of monitoring and revision to better respond to the dynamic TRTA environment. Data for ITC’s eight corporate indicators of achievement are part of the UN’s Proposed Programme Budget for the biennium 2012-2013 (A/66/6 (Sect. 13)/Add.1) and represent aggregated values from across all of ITC’s TRTA projects. In order to report results in more detail, ITC has created several additional sub-indicators. (For more information, see notes on indicators.)
The data on corporate targets presented here can for two reasons slightly differ from the targets contained in the Proposed Programme Budget.
- The targets for the UN are set for a biennium; annual targets are understood to be half of the biennium targets. For ITC, 2012 was a peak delivery year for many large projects; 2013 by contrast is a year when these projects are being wrapped up and new ones are being formulated. As a result, a disproportionate share of the biennium delivery has occurred in 2012.
- Several ITC projects are launched within a biennium or are re-adjusted based on emerging needs of beneficiaries following the establishment of the targets. This could affect the project level and the aggregate data presented here.
