Enhancing SMEs’ access to trade information and competitive intelligence

  • ITC specifically designed the competitive intelligence component for the TISIs and their representatives were broadly satisfied with what it helped them accomplish. For example, in Kenya, the Export Promotion Council (EPC) is using the information it learned how to collect on mangos to develop a bulletin, which it disseminates to its relevant members. TISIs in the three countries were also provided with access to and training on ITC market-information portals (e.g. ITC Trade Maps62). The project equipped some of the TISIs with computers to reach these portals. A mango portal has been created and is accessible through the following link: http://www.mango-kenya.com/
