The Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration
(ACICA) was established in 1985 on the initiative of the Institute
of Arbitrators, Australia. Particular emphasis has been placed upon
the requirements and philosophy of international commercial trade
dispute resolution in and around Asia and the Pacific. However, the
interest and involvement of ACICA extends to all aspects of world
trade and commerce.

Functions |
The Centre promotes the use of international arbitration in
dispute resolution particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. The
Centre provides facilities for the administration and conduct on
international commercial arbitrations in Australia. It establishes
and maintains panels of qualified arbitrators for international
arbitrations.
