Awareness training workshop on EU market requirements
On 18, 19 and 21 Feb 2020, the International Trade Centre (ITC) organized three stakeholders’ workshop in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar on EU regulation on food safety, import controls and plant health. The events gathered 90 participants from relevant competent authorities in Myanmar and the private sector in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw. It aimed to increase awareness of participants of EU market requirements, with a view to improve their food safety control system in general, and in particular to strengthen their national food and plant inspection system with a focus on market surveillance and export inspection based on risk assessment.
