Regional Executive
Forum 2002 as part of Southern Africa Trade
Week in Muldersdrift
The International
Trade Centre, together with the Department of Trade and Industry
South Africa and the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (seco),
organized a Regional Executive Forum in Muldersdrift,
near Johannesburg, South Africa, on 25-27 November
2002 as part of its continuing series of Trade Weeks in Africa.
The objectives
were
to share the results of the recent Executive Forum on National Export
Strategies, held in Montreux, Switzerland, with export strategists in
the Southern African region and to debate the relevance to the region
of the “model practice” recommendations developed in Montreux. A
series of parallel consultations also took place,
primarily with the purpose of reinforcing national and regional
partnerships among institutions concerned with international
competitiveness.
