    Abstract : The CBI market information database is developed by the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) specifically for exporters and business supporters from developing countries. The section on Market Access includes all EU legislative requirements regarding environmental and consumer health and safety (i.e. non-tariffs), the legislation of 15 Member States is outlined as well. Additionally, all relevant private sector, non-legislative requirements are outlined. Requirements are divided into labels, codes of conduct and management systems and include environmental, consumer health and safety and social standards. All requirements in the database are analysed by experts, translated into English language and practical links to other websites are included. Information can be found for 37 product sectors.
