The Promoting CARIFORUM Creative Industries project is an EU-funded initiative that seeks to advance the creative industries sector as a viable contributor to the export diversification goal of the Caribbean countries. The expected project outcomes include: • Improved product design and marketing skills among targeted entrepreneurs/producers. • Enhanced performance of trade support institutions, including Caribbean Export Development Agency, in providing marketing services to stakeholders operating in the sub-sectors targeted by the project. • Increased awareness among a wide range of stakeholders, including policy makers in the region, on the potential of the CARIFORUM Creative Industries sector. ITC’s project implementing partner at the regional level is Caribbean Export Development Agency. At the national level, ITC partners with the Barbados Investment Development Corporation (BIDC); Dominican Republic’s Centre for Enterprise and Investment (CEI-RD); Femme en Democratie (Haiti); Jamaica’s Promotion Agency (JAMPRO); and Trinidad and Tobago National Enterprise Development Corporation (NEDCO). ITC is also collaborating with the World Intellectual Property Organization to implement one of the project’s components.
