CIS regional trade development - consultation and preparation of a concept paper

To prepare a concept paper for suitable ITC assistance to selected CIS countries. In particular, the expected project outcomes will be:
- Provision of selected global ITC services customised to the CIS countries' needs (at least three). While all countries of the region will be invited to take part in the resulting activities, it is proposed that ITC initially focuses on the work with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and one more country in the CIS region;
- A guide on EU market access conditions for food products exporters of the Customs Union (Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia). The study will provide the solid inputs for finalising the concept paper for ITC's assistance in the three countries.

- Relations with officials at the permanent missions of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in Geneva reinforced. As a result, countries' endorsement of ITC's activities in the region obtained.
- Obtained commitment of beneficiary countries to the project activities and approach, as demonstrated by the assignment of a national focal point in each country, including
received recommendations for national consultants.
