Bangladesh’s IBCS-PRIMAX builds partnership with Denmark’s BitaBIZ with ITC assistance.

The International Trade Centre’s NTF II Bangladesh project has over the past years helped several IT companies in the South Asian nation flex their collective muscle as outsourcing specialists.

And IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd. is no exception. Participating in a matchmaking event in Copenhagen in December 2011 brought the software development and system-integration house into contact with the Danish BitaBIZ company, marking the start of a collaboration that has grown and which has proved hugely beneficial to both companies.

Simplifying administrative tasks

BitaBIZ, a mobile and a web-based solution provider that automates and simplifies many administrative tasks ‘on the spot’, selected IBCS to computerize all the processes as an offshore development partner. IBCS has already been active on this project for more than eight month, which initially involved one programmer and was later doubled to two with an extension to three in the offing, according to Bimal C. Banik, IBCS’s Director of bespoke solutions.

IBCS developed a web-based application that included workflow-based functions such as a booking customization system, time registration, a holiday overview, an expenses system, and an accounting plan. The upgraded systems simplify the decision-making process and now offer a comprehensive solution that enables BitaBIZ to track details of all employees and improves communications with staff. The technology used in the project included Visual studio 2008, IIS 7, SQL Server 2008, Microsoft Visual Source Safe, .NET framework 3.5 and Crystal Reports 10.

The two enterprises signed a renewable one-year contract and BitaBIZ has introduced IBCS to other potential buyers, Banik said, noting that more business is on the way with Dataman, an ERP app that allows users to stay on top of their tiered data plan by rigorously tracking how much data they use.

‘IBCS is very happy with the NTFII project,’ Banik said.
