Fruit Logistica specialist trade fair helps international fresh fruit and vegetable producers drum up business opportunities.

Eleven mango exporters from Senegal had the opportunity to meet importers and identify major market-related barriers to the sale of their produce at the recent Fruit Logistica trade fair. The event is one of the most important business and communication arenas for the trade in international fresh produce.

The specialist trade fair, held on 6-8 February in Berlin, Germany, attracted key decision-makers from the industry as exhibitors and visitors, and enabled them to approach potential business partners with their services and products.

Experts from the International Trade Centre (ITC) coached and supervised the Senegalese delegation on how to make the most of participating at a trade fair.

Fruit Logistica offers sectors linked to the fresh fruit and vegetable business an ideal opportunity to present their products across the entire added-value chain, from growing to the point-of-sale. This year, more than 58,000 trade visitors from 130 countries attended Fruit Logistica, with more than 2,500 exhibitors from 78 countries taking part.
