ITC trained members of the African Fine Coffees Association to organize business-to-business meetings at an upcoming coffee conference in Zanzibar.

Members of the African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) are now equipped with skills to arrange business matchmaking services, following a two-day workshop led by the International Trade Centre (ITC).

AFCA received training on 23 and 24 July in Kampala, Uganda, on the methodology for generating business and on organizing business-to-business (B2B) meetings. The association will plan B2B matchmaking sessions to be held during the 14th African Fine Coffee Conference and Exhibition from 3-5 February 2016 in Zanzibar, the United Republic of Tanzania.

The conference is Africa’s largest coffee trade platform, drawing more than 2,000 regional and international coffee roasters, traders and producers.

Workshop participants said the ITC training would help them to put in place a strategy that will lead to revenue generation for their association while also providing a valuable service to their members.
