The world's largest trade database on DVD
Available only in SITC
10 year data available (1996-2005)
SITA - Statistics for International Trade Analysis is a joint project of the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/WTO and NacquIT, a part of Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands. The recently developed SITA DVD provides 10 years of trade statistics and has been developed for enterprises, trade support institutions and academic institutions to enable the analysis of international trade flows. SITA allows the assessment of export and import trends. Users can simultaneously perform multiple search queries with any number of products, reporting countries, partner countries and time periods. SITA provides a user-friendly interface enabling the easy aggregation of product clusters and the viewing of reports in tabular and graphical format. SITA is an extension of ITC's CD-based tool PC-TAS providing greater analytical flexibility and ease of use.
SITA
allows users to analyse the trade performance of their own country
vis-à-vis any other.
It covers such diverse topics as: What are the leading import
markets for a specific product? What are the most dynamic emerging
markets? What is the market share of my country? What is the
competition in my existing export markets? Which
product codes are viewable?:
SITA
is updated yearly and is derived from COMTRADE, the trade database of the
United Nations Statistics Division, which covers over 90% of world trade.
SITA contains
ten years of import and export statistics covering 230 countries and
territories and broken down into 3,800 Standard International Trade
Classification (SITC revision 3) products, viewable at the 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5-digit
