The tannery established in 1996 in accordance with investment proclamation No. 17 of 1982. The location is in Sebeta- Addis Ababa suburb. The tannery started operation as of July 1996, to process sheep and wet blue goat skins stages. At present it expanded to crust and finished leather with a capacity of 15,000 sq.ft.per day. The product targeted mainly for export market. Number of fixed term employees 75 and contract or temporary staff is 20. Annual turn over before expansion is Euro 1,400,000. And expecting after expansion is Euro 3,200,000. |

Partnerships, joint ventures, sub-contracts, Management contracts, marketing etc. Sub-contract is highly appreciated in technology and marketing at the time being, as already recently all building, machineries etc are completed to bring product to crust and finished leather. The product will have a better value from export earnings as well as opportunity of having better share in local industry market to cover the ambitious government business plan strategy, for development of leather and leather products industry within five years. |
