    Regional Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Lead Expert (Myanmar)

    ITC is looking for a Regional Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Lead Expert to work with the ITC SPS Myanmar team in Yangon under the Arise Plus Myanmar project funded by the European Union (EU). The Lead Expert, based in the region, will be leading the delivery of Component 2 of the EU-Arise Plus Myanmar Project on a 30% part-time basis with regular (preferably monthly) travels to Myanmar. The candidate should hold a degree in Agriculture, Food safety, Economics or Law or in the related field, with at least 15 years’ professional experience in with an international technical cooperation agency or in SPS related technical assistance projects, preferably in Myanmar or the region.     Digital Project Specialist E-Solutions Tools

    ITC is looking for a Digital Projects Specialist for a short term assignment to advise on tools for e-commerce support and training. The selected individual will have a good technical understanding of web technologies, languages and cloud services and experience directly planning, managing, and documenting digital projects. The Specialist has an important contribution to make in catalyzing our understanding and use of online technologies. (S)he will also be a good communicator - and passionate about using digital communications, and e-commerce in particular, as a medium for development. This assignment is initially of around 25 days equivalent of work over 2 months (Sep-Oct 2019), potentially renewable, is to review the user requirements for 2 online tools that we wish to build to support small firms understand and evaluate their preparedness for e-Commerce. In addition the Specialist will help us to scope available online solutions to support the work that we wish to do with small firms in developing countries - and define the next steps.     International Trade Policy Expert, ARISE Plus Myanmar

    ITC is looking for an International Consultant to work with the Department of Trade (DoT) within the Ministry of Commerce in Myanmar. The main purpose of the consultancy services is to support Myanmar to meet its regional and international commitments on trade issues and to advice on how to address non-tariff barriers along value chains, while mainstreaming trade policy in the country’s development agenda. Advanced degree is required in International relations, economics, business administration, law or related fields, and at least 15 years of practical work experience in trade policy, in particular, areas such as trade negotiations and trade policy formulation,including experience in LDCs, especially in Asia.     Logistics expert - Central America

    ITC is seeking a logistics expert for an e-commerce project in Central America. You can download the Spanish here Terms of Reference , or in English here. Our goal is to review the alternatives for international goods transport from Central America and assess the needs of 200 small businesses that wish to export their products to the EU and the US. The research consultant is expected to develop an online survey to evaluate the traffic profile of the project beneficiaries and study available logistics solutions in the region. Recommendations will be built to facilitate the discussion with logistics providers and negotiate shipping rates. Suitable candidates will have experience in logistics and a good understanding of different shipping options for cross-border e-commerce.     ITC is seeking an international consultant with expertise in e-commerce to help review our strategy of assisting small firms achieve success in e-trade, and to develop additional training modules to support the programme.     Consultant / Trainer on e-commerce in Central America

    ITC is seeking an international consultant with significant experience in professional advisory on e-commerce and familiarity with the business landscape and culture of Central America. The consultant will work within a project seeking to promote online sales of handicraft and home decoration items produced by Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) in Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama). The consultant will develop and adapt training materials, research and document the availability of and access requirements for payment solutions and marketplaces (in EU and US).
