  • We are pleased to announce that in relation to the upcoming Women Vendors Exhibition and Forum (WVEF), the International Trade Centre (ITC) is organizing three Buyer Mentor Group (BMG)*, which will take place during The International Textile Fair, on 16-17 April 2016 in Abu Dhabi, UAE; a Services BMG in Beijing, China, held in parallel to the CIFTIS International Trade Fair for Trade in Services on May 28th –June 1st 2016 and Textiles and Garment BMG during Ethical Fashion Show Berlin on 28-30 June 2016 in Berlin, Germany.

    16-17 April - Textiles and Garment BMG in Abu Dhabi, UAE– International Textile Fair www.internationaltextilefair.com

    • Benefits of participation: Selected Women Business Entrepreneur (WBEs) in textiles and garment sector will receive trainings, have a space in the fair, and the opportunity to exhibit their products as well as meet potential buyers.
    • ITC will offer a space for the WBEs at the fair and will cover the accommodation costs of selected participants. Travel and expenses on-site (lunches, dinners etc.) are not covered and must be paid by the participants.
    • As there are limited space available (approx. 10/15 WBEs will participate), we encourage them to:

    1. fill the WVEF online application and
    2. contact us (womenandtrade@intracen.org) asap before 18st March 2016 to express their interest in the BMG and confirm that they can cover their travel and other expenses.

    • Please note that applications will go through a competitive selection process and only the selected women entrepreneurs will be contacted before end of March. A detailed agenda of the events will be shared with successful applicants.
    28 May – 1st June – Services BMG in Beijing, China in parallel to the CIFTIS International Trade Fair for Trade in Services http://en.ciftis.org/
    • Benefits of participation: Selected Women Business Entrepreneurs (WBEs) in Services -Information Communications Technology (ICT), Business and Tourism-, will receive trainings, have a space in the fair, and the opportunity to exhibit their products as well as meet potential buyers.
    • ITC will offer a space for the WBEs at the fair and will cover the accommodation costs of selected participants. Travel and expenses on-site (lunches, dinners etc.) are not covered and must be paid by the participants.
    • As there are limited space available (approx. 10/15 WBEs will participate), we encourage them to:

    1. fill the WVEF online application and
    2. contact us (womenandtrade@intracen.org) asap before 29th March 2016 to express their interest in the BMG and confirm that they can cover their travel and other expenses.

    • Please note that applications will go through a competitive selection process and only the selected women entrepreneurs will be contacted before beginning of April. A detailed agenda of the events will be shared with successful applicants.
    • If you would like to share your story at the ITC forum on E-Commerce and Digital Trade for Development, which will be held at the CIFTIS, please fill the online form until 21st March 2016, extended deadline for submission.

    Eligible companies, should:

    • Have applied online and fulfilled the WVEF conditions (legally registered and incorporated; 51% or more women owned, managed and controlled; be domiciled in an economy in transition or developing country).
    Applicants should be able to communicate in English in order to fully participate.

    28 – 30 June - Textiles and Garment BMG in Berlin, Germany– Ethical Fashion Show Berlin http://ethicalfashionshowberlin.com/en/


    • Benefits of participation: Selected Women Business Entrepreneur (WBEs) in textiles and garment sector will receive trainings, have a space in the fair, and the opportunity to exhibit their products as well as meet potential buyers.
    • ITC will offer a space for the WBEs at the fair. Accommodation, travel and expenses on-site (lunches, dinners etc.) are not covered and must be paid by the participants.
    • Applicants should be able to communicate in English in order to fully participate
    • Please note that applications will go through a competitive selection process and we will apply a first come first serve basis, so we invite companies to apply as soon as possible. Only the selected women entrepreneurs will be contacted before end of April
    • There are limited spaces available (10/15 WBEs), and the selection process will be in 3 steps:
    • Fill the WVEF online application  (unless you have filled out the form already) companies must fulfill the WVEF conditions: legally registered and incorporated; 51% or more women owned, managed and controlled; be domiciled in an economy in transition or developing country
    • Contact us as soon as possible and before 18th April 2016 to express interest in the BMG and confirm that they can cover their accommodation, travel and other expenses.

    * The BMG is an integral part of the ITC led Global Platform for Action on Sourcing from Women Vendors commitment to ensuring that women vendors are well prepared to take advantage of trade opportunities and achieve commercial success. It seeks to build seller capacity to meet buyer requirements, and to prepare for the upcoming Women Vendors Exhibition and Forum taking place on 1-2 September 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.
