The Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Network was established to facilitate the dynamic exchange of information, good practices, experiences and collaboration about offering export-oriented services among TPOs. It provides a platform where individual organizations may benefit from the synergies of TPOs working together in the spirit of continual and mutual improvement through online and offline forums.
The TPO Network World Conference was first established in 1996 with the purpose of providing a forum for TPOs from around the world to gather together and discuss issues that are important for their work agenda.
This unique biennial event facilitates:
The TPO Network World Conference is open to all trade support institutions mandated to provide trade related technical support services.
The TPO Network Awards recognize institutional excellence and encourage the sharing of best practices among national export promotion agencies. TPOs participate in the TPO Network Awards in categories defined according to the economic development status of the countries where their national headquarters are located.
Applications from TPOs are reviewed against specific criteria by an Adjudicating Panel composed of distinguished TPO practitioners, including a senior representative from each TPO award winner of the previous year. The panel members, based on their experience and knowledge, rate the applications according to an evaluation metric to select the winners.
The award winners are announced during the TPO Network World Conference.
The Awards are open to the national trade promotion organisations mandated by their governments to promote the export promotion strategy of their countries.
The biennial TPO Network World Conference and Awards have grown steadily in popularity. It is recognised by the senior representatives of TPOs as the global networking event on their agendas to foster new ideas, future collaborations and positive outcomes of their efforts.
