· List your institution's staff resources as they are available from day one:
- Number of full-time staff with which qualification and for which tasks
- Number of part-time staff with which qualification and for which tasks
- Number of independent contractors with which qualification and for which tasks
- Number of volunteers with which qualification and for which tasks
· Describe where you want to be in years 1 to 3
In terms of quality and quantity of human resources available to your institution
Programme staff:
A rule of thumb is that for every one training course offered you will eventually need 6 resource persons to choose from. This is because over a period of one year it is unlikely that trainers will always be available when you need them. Especially if experts travel a lot for their own business, trainers fall sick, go on holiday or have other part-time commitments, etc.
· Describe how you will create the pool of resources
Will you use external recruitment, training and internal development, using experts from the professional network, etc.
Explain any other sources of support you will receive in form of people resources (expert presentations from members or public officials, former colleagues engaging in promotion activities, advise and contacts from international organisations, etc)
Elaborate your People Plan with the help of the attached template.
