Continuous or continual improvement means the ongoing or frequental improvement of programmes, services and processes with the objective to decrease cost, improve quality, speed-up delivery and improve the service degree of your institution.

Internal Evaluation, reporting and programme evaluation are key elements of this process, since their results feed into a process of continuous improvement by analyzing the progress, achievements and "failures" of programmes. Especially important is customer feedback (internal as well as external customers) which might lead to valid recommendations on how to further improve.

Continuous improvement requires seeking to implement these recommendations. By doing so, it closes the circle of business planning, programme planning, programme delivery & monitoring, evaluation and implementation of further improvements.
