Reporting involves sending regular monitoring updates to your donor(s) and stakeholders (members, sponsors, major clients) concerning the achievements and progress of programme activities and outputs.

Most important is to report on the progress of the programme as planned in your project document. See “Evaluation Plan ” for a detailed explanation. You will need to ensure that the relevant data is collected and stored on a continuous basis. For example: achieving of milestones in time and quality foreseen, number of events held, number of people trained, number of companies consulted, improvements achieved by companies advised, qualitative feedback received.

Today, donors do not give money without controlling the results of their spending. The better you are able to respond to the donor’s reporting expectations regarding activities, outputs and achievements, the easier you will get financing from them in the future.
