Obtaining accreditation (certification for the quality of the institution, its trainers and experts and/or its training programmes) from reputable standards bodies (local, national or international) is necessary to confirm the quality and standard of your institution's work, especially if you operate in very fragmented and not very transparent markets.

Nationally or internationally accredited institutions find it easier to recruit staff, find participants for training courses, cover the cost of events and entice international presenters to work for them. However, for "younger" institutions it is about balancing the achievable with the desirable. It may be necessary to achieve a lower level accreditation as a stepping stone to a higher level accreditation.
