altaroma

Alta Roma is a syndicated joint stock company made up by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome together with the Region Lazio and the municipality of Rome. Born in 1998 as “Agenzia per la Moda” it underwent a meticulous restyling process in 2002, changing its name into Alta Roma and becoming the institutional tool to promote the image and culture of Rome on the international fashion scene.
A significant evolution meant to express the precise will to fine tune Rome’s potentialities in terms of beauty, creativity, style and tradition. The ideal spot where “training” and “seeing” important names in terms of style as well as new talents on the Italian and international fashion scene is possible.
Promoting Italian style and the ”Made in Italy” concept itself, around the world is among Alta Roma’s priorities.
Through a capillary activity of territorial marketing, Alta Roma enhances both tradition and the richness of what makes up for the Italian fashion field in general. By stressing creativity, it thus offers an opportunity to all those young designers who have graduated from fashion schools, while generating an ideal continuity between milestone names of high fashion. An ideal relay race to safeguard this cultural asset.

It is the outcome of UNIDO's long-standing involvement in the regional development of the leather industry. ESALIA was born out of an urgent need to have a coordinated approach in charting out short and long term development strategies for the continent's leather industry.
