The WTO/TBT Agreement: A business perspective

 

 

The aim of this Information pack is to create an informed awareness within the business and public sectors of developing countries, of the steps taken by country members of WTO to encourage free and fair trade at international level and minimize the implementation of technical regulations by countries, which could result in barriers to such trade. These steps were formalized in, amongst others, the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade, which is the main topic for discussion during this presentation.

 

The Information pack is developed under World Tr@de Net, an ITC programme which responds to the need for information, practical advice and training of the business community on WTO issues directly relevant to their business operations.

The SPS Agreement: A Business Perspective  

The aim of this Information Pack is to help business in developing countries and economies in transition to take advantage of the benefits of the SPS Agreement for maintaining and improving market access for export products. The Pack has been prepared for use as background material in national and regional workshops in developing countries and economies in transition, inter alia, on WTO/SPS issues.
