This report provides the economic and policy issues: the current situation is described as well as the short term prospects. Subjects such as: the linkages between trade and environmental policies in the hides and skins and leather sector, the trade restrictions and the purchasing requirements in importing countries are also exposed. There is a part dedicated to the intergovernmental action on hides and skins. |
