Angola is a LDC situated in Southern Africa between Namibia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.The Angolan economy has experienced a tremendous growth in the last few years with exports of crude oil, diamonds, and petroleum products to mainly China, the US and India. The country is an active member of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) for which it contributed to the approval of the regional infrastructure plan and to the preliminary list of regional priority projects. Angola is also a member of theEconomic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
Angola received ITC trade assistance within the framework of its regional projects in the ECCAS region mainly through PACT2.ITC aims to establish deeper cooperation with the country and ideally initiate a country-specific project or a regional initiative. ITC will be undertaking a training workshop on trade facilitation in Angola in collaboration with Brasil in January 2015.
