WIPO IP business tool for SMEs

World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) have jointly developed IP PANORAMA, a product designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) utilize and manage Intellectual Property (IP) in their business strategy. In 10 modules, IP PANORAMA covers: importance of IP for SMEs, trademarks and industrial designs; invention and patent; trade secrets; copyright and related rights; patent information; technology licensing in a strategic partnership; IP in the digital economy; and IP Audit. A module on IP and International Trade explores issues such as why IP rights are important for exporters, IP in international outsourcing and protecting IP right in the export market.
