Eva K. Murray, a Canadian national, joined ITC as
Director of the Division of Programme Support in mid-summer 2006. She
has a wide range of experience in developing new approaches and
leading organizational implementation, and has worked in human
resources, policy, management organizational development, budget,
planning and financial resource management. Since 2003, she has been
at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The
Hague. As head of human resources, she exercised a leadership role on
change management issues and served on the management board.
Previously, Ms Murray served at the World Health Organization, in the
Evidence for Information and Policy Cluster, as the head of the
management support unit, with responsibility for resource mobilization,
budget, finance, information technology, planning and administrative
services for over 300 staff and consultants. Her association with
international organizations began in 1994, and includes consultancy
services to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the
Food and Agriculture Organization, the International Telecommunication
Union and the World Meteorological Organization. Ms Murray served in
the Canadian public service for some 20 years in various posts,
including as vice-president of the human resources branch of the
National Capital Commission. A graduate of Carleton University in
Ottawa, Canada in law and psychology, Ms Murray is bilingual (English
and French). Her studies in French were pursued at the University of
Dijon, France.
