    Abstract:

    The Ministry of Finance and Planning in Sri Lanka in collaboration with German Technical Organization (GTZ) are implementing a comprehensive cooperation programme "Promotion of the Microfinance Sector" (ProMiS) aimed at enhancing and improving services offered by selected microfinance institutions (MFIs) to the poorer sections of society and micro and small enterprises. The website contains background information about the Programme, an overview of microfinance services in Sri Lanka, publications, useful links, case studies, and information on microfinance actors (practitioners, promoters and service providers).
